Look out for frost damage
Frost and wind can lift and loosen new plants during bad spells of winter weather, damaging roots and allowing ice to form around the stem. Check them every couple of weeks and re-firm if necessary, tightening tree ties if necessary so they're held firmly into their supporting stakes.
